We focus on Growth! We believe growth happens when high expectations are set, consistently implemented with everyone working together to support each individual to achieve their goals.

Our Learning Journey

In King's, we make it our responsibility to create a safe, positive learning environment, to understand the necessary subject knowledge, knowing and setting the correct attainment targets for each child, knowing and keeping inline with the high expectations we set. We plan effectively, delivering quality lessons, that are engaging and creative. We hold the understanding that it takes a committed team to create a strong learning journey, everyone is involved in contributing and supporting a child’s development, involving the child, parent and relevant staff at the appropriate times. Every individual is different and requires support to meet those needs. We all have different learning styles. In King's we make it our responsibility to know every individual within each class and to provide opportunities to learn using all learning styles.

Growth is our Focus, in order to grow we must keep setting high expectations, providing facilities and resources to meet the set expectations. In King's, we set a strong standard of behaviour within the classroom, regularly reminding every individual of students’ behaviour. We celebrate successes and promote the awareness of positive achievements in a variety of formats; in displays, awards, in assemblies and newsletters.

Our aim as a school, is to enable learners to thrive, enjoy and develop the skills and capacity to work independently and collaboratively making good progress in all aspects of their learning.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on the UK Curriculum, setting high expecations and targets inline with the UK Government stadnards and expecations as well as the Cambridge International Assessment curriclum. We are committed to providing a curriculum that develops the whole child; physically, mentally, spiritually, socially, morally and intellectually.

To develop children’s understanding of their place in society and their contribution to the world. We are committed to consistently following the curriculum outlines and reaching the set attainment levels.

Providing Stimulating, creative subjects in the core subjects in Early years, primary and secondary. Focusing each term on a Topic that connects all areas of study together with one theme. Providing a curriculum that is relevant for all.

We are focused on the individual reaching their potential, developing the enquiry mind and developing skills to acquire knowledge and become self learners.
